Robe farming ;-)

Yesterday evening saw me doing two heroic instances. I have to confess that I rarely do heroics. As a healer, I shun them for the increased stress they put upon you most of the time. I know that a well tuned group composition can reduce this by a wide margin, but usually I am content to clear Karazhan once a week and do some additional raiding.
However, my fiancee (from now on labeled "Mash") wanted the cute phoenix pet and that robe from Kael’Thas badly, so I found myself in a half-guild / half-pickup group quite fast. Note: No one assembles decent groups faster than Mash. Honestly… No one.
Setup
- Mashus (Mage - Fire)
- Rakel (Priest - Holy/Disc)
- Perridur (Druid - Feral)
- Hubas (Hunter - Marksmanship)
- Priestpriest (Priest - Shadow)
Everyone was playing very well. As you can see, we had a lot of crowd control. The Trash was not a very big problem. My mana bar never really dived below 75%.
Bosses
Selin Fireheart
He was not very much of a challenge to our well-geared group. No one bothered destroying the crystals as he channeled, so I just spammed Prayer of Healing throughout most of the fight. It went surprisingly well.
He dropped the Shoulderplates of Everlasting Pain, that nobody could equip, so I disenchanted them into 2 Void Crystals.
Vexallus
The adds right before Vexallus were responsible for our first wipe. We accidentally pulled 2 groups and I was unable to keep Mash alive.
Vexallus himself was a bit more challenging. We took it slow, since (in heroic mode) he spawns the adds based on his life percentage. The damage ramped up, but with only one player in melee range, I was able to heal through most of the damage and no one died.
We had a Rod of the Blazing Light as loot. Perridur took it gladly, since it fit nicely into his healing gear.
Priestess Delrissa
The Priestess came with the Rogue, the Warlock, the Mage and the Warrior. We had one wipe on her, because the warrior ignored our tank and charged and mortal-striked me and Mashus right at the beginning of the fight. We went down very fast.
Our second try worked out, more or less. We sheeped the Warrior and put the Rogue into the hunter’s Freezing Trap. Then we focused our damage on Priestess Delrissa while I healed the damage done by the 2 casters and faded whenever possible. We managed to take them down with only our Hunter and our tank still standing.
She dropped a Shard of Contempt that went to Perridur. Yay for threat equipment.
Kael’Thas Sunstrider
This fight was painful. The added Shield + Pyroblast combo can really ruin your day. On first try, we managed to put him into Phase two without seeing the combo, however I died to a second phoenix add right before this, and so the whole group died shortly into phase two.
We then had various tries, where both Mash and the shadow priest kited and killed the phoenix adds, but this resulted in Kael’Thas doing the combo thing. We simply were not fast enough to bring down the shield if he popped it.
In the end (after porting and summoning to repair once), we managed to get him into phase two right after Perridur died to a Pyroblast. Luckily no tank is needed for phase two. We took him down fast and quickly rezzed our poor druid.
Sadly no robe or phoenix pet dropped. Our hunter was very happy to get the Breeching Comet however. We disenchanted the Quickening Blade of the Prince and handed out the Void Crystals.
