Progression

A lot of things are going on right now. Most of it is Real-Life related, but things are keeping me busy nonetheless. I have my own marriage upcoming this summer and things are getting pretty dense right now. A lot of stuff needs to be done, chosen and else taken care off. It will pass, but for now I’m pretty much tied down.

On a small side note, during a short period of illness, I was able to get Rancora to level 70. I suppose she won’t see much play from now on. I’m lacking any motivation to do some PvP with her, I found out.

Our guild is currently expanding aggressively. We did force it a lot, and we start to feel the first rubbings inside the guild. We want to start raiding the 25 player capped dungeons on our own, but we are currently not sure if we are able to handle it. Most of the new players seem to have no motivation to learn Karazhan on their own, but only with a mixed group of veterans. Those players want to do Zul’Aman together with the crew they know. It’s a pretty tangled situation. We’ll see how it works out in the end.

That’s the current state of the nation here. ;-)

I will have some boss and spell related posts for you soon. If anyone is reading this, that is. :-D

Boss Focus: Shade of Aran

In a Nutshell

The Shade of Aran is an optional encounter on your way to the top of the tower. He controls most of the respawn in the library, however and should be dealt with if you are in risk of wiping on the content after him.

The fight itself is very unique and fun. As a healer you need good reflexes and situational awareness in order to stay and keep other people alive.

Dragonkiller killed

raid-progress_gruul_1

Just a small personal progression rambling. Skip it if you don’t want to get involved. ;-)

Still reading? Fine! :-)

<Ravenous> has recently grouped up with two other guilds to form a raiding alliance. Before this, we had some difficulties mustering enough people to raid Gruul’s Lair properly.

With the addition of new an nice people to kiss the floor together, we managed to get the raids rolling.

With much success, I have to add.

I HAZ HAPY DROOD

Sorry for this little Alamo. *razz*

Monday evening, right after finishing heroic Magister’s Terrace (read the whole story here), we took no break. No, we did heroic Sethekk Halls. With me tanking on Aylah. I suppose you know what this is leading to. ;-)

The group was a bit overgeared for heroic Sethekk Halls. We rushed it a bit, so we had a wipe on the first boss. Other than that, we cleared the room before Ikiss quickly, I set up the moonstone, we summoned Anzu and dispatched him quickly.

Robe farming ;-)

Yesterday evening saw me doing two heroic instances. I have to confess that I rarely do heroics. As a healer, I shun them for the increased stress they put upon you most of the time. I know that a well tuned group composition can reduce this by a wide margin, but usually I am content to clear Karazhan once a week and do some additional raiding.

However, my fiancee (from now on labeled "Mash") wanted the cute phoenix pet and that robe from Kael’Thas badly, so I found myself in a half-guild / half-pickup group quite fast. Note: No one assembles decent groups faster than Mash. Honestly… No one. ;-)
